Natural Antibiotics


1. Garlic

Research has confirmed that garlic possesses numerous antioxidants that kill bacteria and free radicals in the blood stream.  It is also an anti fungal. Bacteria in the body does not appear to develop resistance to \garlic as they do to many antibiotics.

2. Echinacea

Echinacea  strengthens the immune system and fights a variety of infections. It has been  used to treat open wounds, diptheria, cellulitis, blood poisoning, syphilitic lesions and other bacteria.. It can be used to fight colds and flu.  Echinacea can destroy  virulent bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus which causes  MRSA.




3. Colloidal Silver

CS is a  germicidal and antibacterial. It also  supports the natural 
defence system of the body and is powerfully alkaline. Research shows that it works by acting as a catalyst, disabling the enzyme that single-celled bacteria, fungi and viruses require for the metabolism of oxygen.  This then suffocates the invading cell whilst doing no harm to any human enzymes, resulting in the removal of disease-causing organisms from the body.


4. Pau D'Arco

Pau d'Arco is an herb native to South America whose active ingredient lapachol, has been found to relieve a wide range of infections. It is an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral.  Studies suggest that Pau d'arco may also have cancer-fighting properties. Pau d'arco was used by the Indians of South America to strengthen the immune system and fight life-threatening diseases. It is usually given in a tea.

5. Manuka Honey

Manuka honey comes from Australia and New Zealand. When applied topically it can kill a wide variety of pathogens, including MRSA and flesh-eating bacteria. Not all Manuka Honey is active, you have to make sure you get an active type. Manuka Honey has been used by the Maori People for centuries for an upset stomach and as a salve on open wounds in the skin.



6. Cat's Claw

This plant comes from Peru. Many cultures native to the South American rain forest areas have used this herb for hundreds of years. Research shows  it may have positive effects on, and can boost the body's immune system.
Active Ingredient: The active substances are alkaloids, tannins and other phytochemicals. Alkaloids have been proven to be immune system boosters. The major alkaloid rhynchophylline has anti-hypertensive effects, lowering blood pressure and increasing circulation. It is also an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and has anticancer properties.
It has long been used as a homeopathic treatment for Crohn's disease, gastric ulcers and tumors, parasites, colitis, gastritis, diverticulitis and leaky bowel syndrome.

7. Oil of Oregano


Active ingredient: Carvacrol. Oil of Oregano has been found to be effective against Staph, E. coli and Listeria. There has been a lot of studies showing it can kill many bacteria. It can be used to fight intestinal parasites and is also an anti fungal.
